VIRTUAL REALITY

Virtual reality (VR) is an interactive computer/generated experience taking place within a simulated environment. It incorporates mainly auditory and visual feedback, but may also allow other types of sensory feedback like haptic. This immersive environment can be similar to the real world or it can be fantastical, creating an experience that is not possible in ordinary physical reality. Augmented reality systems may also be considered a form of VR that layers virtual information over a live camera feed into a headset or through a smartphone or tablet device giving the user the ability to view three-dimensional images.

The new browser has been created precisely to be enjoyed with virtual reality glasses, something that changes the format of use and that makes the voice protagonist, for example. The WebVR standard is a fundamental pillar of a project that also recommends contents and experiences of virtual reality.

In June we learned that virtual reality was not going to have a hole, for now, on the Xbox. One of the managers of Microsoft, in an interview, explained that they had no specific plans in relation to their consoles and new fields such as virtual or mixed reality. What this Redmond worker did not say is that, apparently, they had had plans in the past. Specifically, and according to CNET, they prepared virtual reality glasses that at one time remained in a drawer. The development stopped, keeping the plans in suspense, until a better technology appeared.
