Listening to stories is one of the oldest forms of transmission of culture and entertainment among humans. And although we have relied on increasingly sophisticated technologies (an arch that goes from printing to virtual reality) to get closer to the magic of the narrative, the power of seduction of the voice remains in force. The reborn strength of the podcast and the upward trend of audiobooks, a format that seemed forgotten, prove it. The great allies of this new life of literature to listen are, paradoxically, smartphones. One of the companies that have bet the most on this growth is the Swedish Storytel, although in its origin it was about to fail miserably to get ahead of the times: "The company was born in 2005, explains Jonas Tellander (founder with Joan Hobson).
